Calibrate your Smart Pet Door to your sliding doorUpdated a year ago
After successfully pairing your Smart Pet Door with the Wayzn app you must calibrate the device to your specific door. You can also recalibrate your Smart Pet Door anytime from the device Settings menu in the Wayzn App by pressing the "Reset Calibration" button.
Follow these steps to calibrate your Smart Pet Door:
Step 1
At the beginning of the calibration process, you will see this screen prompting you to lower your Smart Pet Door and insert the rod adapter into the door adapter.
After lowering your Smart Pet Door allow a few seconds for the "Continue" button in the Wayzn app to turn blue. When it turns blue, press the button to proceed.
Step 2
Next, the Wayzn app will present you with an important warning. The calibration process uses significant force to close your door, and obstruction detection is necessarily disabled during the calibration process. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that you keep all people and pets out of the area of the doorway during the entire calibration process. Please be sure you understand this risk and have the area secured before proceeding. When you are ready, click the "I understand" box then press the "Continue" button.
Step 3
Your Smart Pet Door will now close and open a total of three times. During this process, the device will learn the size of your door and how much effort it takes to move your door along its range of motion. Wayzn's AI will use this information later to open and close safely and detect obstructions. When the calibration process is complete the Wayzn app will display the following screen.
